Item Impact of Perceived Effectiveness of HRIS on End-User Satisfaction: Study of Executive and Above Level Employees in ABC Company(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Rajarathne, H. R.The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of the perceived effectiveness (i.e., system quality, information quality, system ease of use, and perceived usefulness) of HRIS on End-User satisfaction among executive and above-level employees in ABC company. A self-administered standard questionnaire was used to gather data from 151 employees. This quantitative research was conducted using survey research strategy and it is a cross-sectional study. A simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample. Hypotheses of the study were tested via simple linear regression using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0. The results have shown that HRIS effectiveness has a significant positive impact on End-User satisfaction. As well as the system quality, information quality, perceived usefulness, and system ease of use have a positive impact on end-user satisfaction. This study has many practical and theoretical implications for practitioners and scholars.Item Impact of Workplace Spirituality on Employee Wellbeing at the ABC Authority Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Piyadasa, G. G. S. A. P.; Thisera, T. J. R.The study aims to identify the impact of workplace spirituality on employee wellbeing. Among lower-level employees attached to the selected semi-government organizations in Sri Lanka. This is deductive research, which follows quantitative research methodology. Moreover, this is a cross-sectional study done using the survey research strategy. Data collection was done through a self-administered standard questionnaire for 169 employees. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), used for data analysis and regression analysis was used. The results of the study revealed that workplace spirituality has a significant direct effect on employee wellbeing. This study contributes to both theory and practice.Item Impact of Work Life Balance on Turnover Intention: A Study of Sewing Machine Operators in A Leading Apparel Manufacturing Organization in Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Pinnawala, P. A. U. A.; Thisera, T. J. R.This study aims to examine the impact of work-life balance on turnover intention among sewing machine operators in leading apparel manufacturing organizations in Sri Lanka. This quantitative research followed a deductive research approach while using a survey strategy. A simple sampling technique was used to collect the sample. Accordingly, data collection was done using a self-administered standard questionnaire from 114 sewing machine operators. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0 was used as a tool for data analysis and regression was used to analyze data. The results have shown that work-life balance has a significant direct impact on turnover intention. Work interference with personal life has a significant positive effect on turnover intention. Personal life interference with work has a significant positive effect on turnover intention. Work-personal life enhancement has a significant negative effect on turnover intention. This study has many practical and theoretical implications for practitioners and scholars.Item Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Affective commitment: Study of Life Insurance Agents of ABC Life Insurance Company in Anuradhapura District(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Perera, H. M. P. A.; Thisera, T. J. R.The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of corporate social responsibility on affective Commitment among life insurance agents in ABC Life Insurance Company in the Anuradhapura district. This research is quantitative research which is followed deductive approach. The study used survey research strategy. Data collection was done using a self-administered standard questionnaire from 265 life insurance agents. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0 was used as the tool for data analysis and regression analysis was used to test hypotheses. The results revealed that the corporate social responsibility has significant impact on affective commitment. This finding is in line with and supported by many previous research studies. Perception of all the dimensions of CSR has a significant impact on affective commitment. These dimensions are economical dimension, ethical dimension, legal dimension, and philanthropic dimension. CSR is a factor that strengthens the emotional ties of employees to organization and can say that affective commitment is one of the best retention tactics in the difficult work environment. Moreover, this study has different practical and theoretical implications.Item Impact of Transformational Leadership on Innovative Work Behaviour: A Study of Executive Level Employees in A Leading Manufacturing Organization in Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Pathmasiri, D. B. N. L.; Thisera, T. J. R.The study examines the impact of transformational leadership on the innovative work behaviour of executive-level employees in a leading manufacturing organization in Sri Lanka. Further, it assesses the dimensional (i.e., idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration) impact of transformational leadership on innovative work behaviour. This study is quantitative research that followed the deductive research approach. A self-administrated questionnaire was used to collect data from the sample of 150 executive-level employees in the selected company. Hypotheses were tested via the regression analysis using SPSS (version 23) findings of the study revealed that transformational leadership has a positive impact on innovative work behaviour while all the dimensions (i.e., idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration) of transformations leadership showing positive impacts on innovative work behaviour of executive employees. This study has many practical and theoretical implications.Item Impact of Perceived Organizational Justice on Employee Commitment: A Study of Executive Level Employees in a Leading Insurance Company in Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Pathirathna, H. P. S. N.; Thisera, T. J. R.This study examines the impact of Organizational Justice on Employee Commitment in a leading insurance company in Sri Lanka. The present study adopted a quantitative research approach while following a survey research strategy. Data collection was done through a self-administered questionnaire using 93 executive employees attached to the head office of the selected company. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0 was used and hypotheses were tested using simple linear regression. Accordingly, this study found that there is a positive impact of Perceived Organizational Justice dimensions (Distributive Justice, Procedural Justice, Interpersonal Justice, and Informational Justice) on Employees’ Commitment. Moreover, this study has numerous practical and theoretical implications.Item Impact of Authentic Leadership Style on Employee Engagement: A Study of Executive Level Employees in ABC Company Sri Lanka(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, 2022) Pathirana, W. P. R. S.; Thisera, T. J. R.This study examines the impact of authentic leadership style on employee engagement in ABC Company. This is quantitative research that was conducted following a deductive approach. This research used a survey strategy. It is a cross-section study. The standard self-administered questionnaire was used to collect primary data for the study from the sample selected from ABC Company. Data analysis was done using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), version 23.0. The hypothesis was analyzed using linear regression analysis. Results revealed that authentic leadership style has an impact on employee engagement in ABC Company. This study provides some theoretical implications and practical implications.Item Impact of Work-Life Balance on Employee Engagement: Mediating Effect of Organizational Pride (Study of Executive and above Level Employees of XYZ (Pvt) Limited)(Department of of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2021) Safiyath, M. F. F.; Thisera, T. J. R.This study examines the impact of work-life balance on employee engagement, with the mediating effect of organizational pride. The purpose of the study is explanatory. This cross-sectional study was conducted using 228 executive and above level employees attached to XYZ (Pvt) Ltd and convenience sampling technique was used. Data collection was done using a standard questionnaire. Hypothesized model was tested through simple linear regression analysis and mediator analysis. The study findings revealed that work-life balance has a significant positive impact on employee engagement and organizational pride partially mediates the relationship between work life balance and employee engagement. The study has different implications on theory and practice.Item Determinants of the Perceived Usefulness of Learning Management System among Undergraduates of Faculty Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka(Department of of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2021) Ruwanthika, W. U.; Thisera, T. J. R.The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the perceived usefulness of the learning management system among undergraduates of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya. Accordingly, the present study examined the impact of system quality, information quality and readiness for online learning on perceived usefulness of learning management system among undergraduates and mediating effect of system use, user satisfaction over the relationship between system quality, information quality, readiness for online learning and perceived usefulness. This study was carried out as quantitative explanatory research work. Further, the sample were selected using the convenience sampling technique. Data were collected via a standard questionnaire from 320 undergraduates of the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies University of Kelaniya. The Hypothesized model was tested through multiple regression analysis and mediating analysis. The research findings review that information quality and system quality have a high impact on perceived usefulness of LMS than readiness for online learning. Moreover, system use mediated the relationship between system quality, information quality and perceived usefulness while user satisfaction mediated the relationship between system quality, information quality, readiness for online learning and perceived usefulness. This study has provided directions for undergraduates, lecturers, system providers and future researchers.Item Impact of Workplace Bullying on Intention to Leave: Study of Executive and above Employees in One of the Leading Fabric Printing Companies in Sri Lanka(Department of of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2021) Rupasinghe, D. S. S.; Thisera, T. J. R.This study examines the impact of workplace bullying on the intention to leave in one of a leading fabric printing company in Sri Lanka. This is a quantitative explanatory study. This is a cross-sectional study and data were collected using a standard questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed among 126 executive and above employees attached to the company. Convenience sampling technique was followed to select the sample. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression analysis using SPSS. Study findings revealed that there was a significant positive impact of workplace bullying on the intention to leave of executive and above employees in this company. The present study provides directions for HR policy makers, employees, supervisors and future researchers.
