dc.description.abstract This study investigates the use of virtual learning environments (VLE), namely Frog VLe e-learning portal, in teaching and learning Mathematics among primary school students in Malaysia by measuring the achievement and perception interest in Mathematics. The achievement was measured based on a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, whereas the interest was measured using the survey method. Forty students from Year Four in a primary school in the northern region of Malaysia were selected as respondents. The findings showed that most of the students found that the Frog VLE tool and the contents available through the platform were appealing and improved their interest in learning mathematics. Furthermore, it was observed that students performed better when exposed to the VLE compared to the traditional classroom. These findings can help policymakers explore strategies for the future use of VLE to improve learning outcomes for mathematics in Malaysian primary schools. en_US
