Abstract: Every childs and adults right to communicate, to have their ?voice heard is unequivocally accepted and recognized as a basic human right. However, the right to use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) modes to do so remains ambiguous, possibly dependent on socio-cultural and economic factors influencing the understanding of and access to AAC devices.
