Abstract
The study intended to critically examine the birth of the concept of The One in Thales?s philosophical thoughts when he intentionally excluded the Gods from his explanation of the world. The many interpretations and positions the concept held in the different philosophers were examined. The last was the concept of The One in the philosophy of Plato where he explained The Good, The Beautiful and The Truth as The One. Providing a religious interpretation combined with a philosophical.
