    Entrepreneurial Intention of University Undergraduates
(5th HRM Student Research Symposium 2018, Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2018) Madusankha, M. I. C.; Janadari, M. P. N.
Entrepreneurship play major role of long-term economic growth of a Nation and it is leading factor in achieving economic growth, high employment, strong Job creation and positive social development. Small and Medium Enterprises are the basic foundation for entrepreneurs to set up their ventures for many reasons. But, the recent statistics showed that the failure rate of SMEs is very high. As a result, a less number of successful entrepreneurs can be seen. Therefore, in the present days government wants to promote entrepreneurship among individuals. The main objective of this study is to identify entrepreneurial intention of university undergraduates of Sri Lanka. The study involves three factors that come under the Theory of Planned Behavior. Those are attitude towards behavior, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control, which affect the entrepreneurial intention of individuals. A total of 217 students from the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya were participated in this study by responding to a standard questionnaire. The data was analyzed using SPSS, employing the correlation, regression and ANOVA tests. The results of Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression analysis showed that attitudes toward behavior, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control have a positive relationship with entrepreneurial intention. And also according to regression analysis the attitudes towards behavior and perceived behavioral control have a 72.0% of impact to the entrepreneur intention. Such a study may provide useful insights into the state of entrepreneurship education for policy makers and planners in universities as well as in government, regarding the younger generation, particularly, to mitigate the burden of graduate unemployment

TWEET ABOUT A BRAND: A PLAN TO PURCHASE.
(Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya,Sri Lanka., 2017) Raza, A.
Consumers in the cities of Pakistan have shown interest in buying online. The online buying is a phenomenon that has caught fast through social media Facebook communities, twitter, instagram, snapchat etc. Marketers are benefiting from the advantage of the two way communication that is offered by social media. This paper explores and examines the pattern of consumers using twi tter to follow a brand specifically clothing and to tweet about a brand (clothing) as well as retweet about a brand. The theoretical grounding for this paper is Theory of Planned Behavior. Results show that attitude towards brand following, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and brand attachment are positively associated with intention to follow brands on the social media. Consumers’ intention to create (i.e., intention to tweet at brands) and disseminate (i.e., intention to retweet the links of brands) brand-related information, as well as purchase intention, are the outcomes of intentions to follow brands on Twitter. Overall findings suggest that TPB model can be used to predict Twitter users’ brand-following behavior. More importantly, the finding of the paper identifies that brand attachment drives consumer intention to follow brands on Twitter extends the TPB framework. The conceptual framework developed is evaluated via SEM and results have both theoretical and managerial implications.

Empirical Study on Customer Intention of Using Mobile Payment Services in Western Province of Sri Lanka
(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2016) Amarasinghe, A.V.S.C.; Yatigammana, M.R.K.N.
In this modern and fast moving world, technology is growing rapidly. People accepted the technology by using online transactions via internet in order to ease the work. Mobile payment is also an emerging and important application in mobile commerce. Though the technologically advanced solutions exist there is a lack of usage in mobile payment services among consumers. This study is conducted to identify the intention of using mobile payment services from a holistic perspective including behavioral beliefs, social influences, and personal traits on consumers of mobile payment services in Sri Lanka. The research framework was based on TPB, TAM, TRA and DOI models to compare through empirical evidence in order to examine which is better to predict the factors affect to use m-payment. The conceptual of finding the intention to use m- payment services are determined by five factors such as, Perceived Compatibility, Perceived Security, Perceived Usefulness, Individual Mobility and Subjective Norm. Targeted population for this quantitative research is mobile phone users in Western Province of Sri Lanka. This survey is used to acquire data from 200 samples and used simple random sampling method. Online questionnaire survey is conducted to gather the data and multiple regression analysis is used to explain the five factors affected to the intention of using m-payment. This empirical study offers several implications for mobile payment service providers to increase consumer’s intention by considering the factors affect to use these services as their future marketing strategies. This survey results can be used in promoting business plans related to mobile payment services and make solutions to overcome the problem in lack of usage of mobile payment services.

Impact of Facilitating Conditions on System Acceptance Behavior: with Special Reference to Public Sector Projects in Sri Lanka
(Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, 2016) Ranathunga, R.A.G.K.; de Silva. G.H.B.A.
In spite of conducting proper systematic investigations, most of Sri Lankan public sector organizations migrate to computer based information systems from manual/semi-manual information systems. However, majority of the new vicissitudes in the new system would not be accepted by those who suggested the change after implementation. Furthermore, according to the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) (1991), the actual behaviour is determined by behavioral intention but then again, the acceptance behaviour of public sector employees cannot be explained completely. According to the TPB behavioral intention reinforced by perceived behavioral controls is having a positive impact on actual behaviour. However, TPB is not explaining completely why the positive intention to change the systems in the proposal stage is negatively affecting the implementation stage. Therefore, researcher wants to explain how facilitating conditions are moderating the relationship between intention to change and rejection behaviour. The qualitative deductive approach will be used in the study. The unit of analysis would be individuals. Moreover, the population of the study is recently system changed, public sector organization employees. Sample was drawn from the population based on snowballing sampling technique. The operationalization of the quantitative survey will be done based on existing literature while SEM will be used in data modeling. This study will provide insights for both executives and scholars in Sri Lanka. Executives require research based knowledge to overcome this dilemma while the scholars need the insights to explain the moderating behaviour of facilitating conditions.
