dc.description.abstract The present study was undertaken to ascertain the viability of using a common currency in all SAARC Nations, as it was proposed by the former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the 12th SAARC summit, Islamabad. This study has been conducted on basis of views of the traders of Ludhiana who carry on trade activities in SAARC countries. Their opinions were gathered and evaluated about the proposed idea and its implementation. The other aspects covered in this study are related to the benefits and drawbacks of using a common currency in all SAARC countries. en_US
