dc.description.abstract Assistive technology is one of the prominent modes that has been used significantly in the field of special education. Specific Learning disabilities are caused by genetic and neurobiological factors that affect brain functioning, influencing one or more cognitive processes related to learning. Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurobiological in origin. Out of the world's population 780 million are people with Dyslexia. An important resource for students with Specific learning disabilities to flourish in the classroom is access to assistive technology as an increasing number of students with Dyslexia are attending Primary schools. To meet the educational demands of students with Dyslexia, support service providers will likely rely on assistive technology tools. This systematic literature review focuses on the use of assistive technology tools for students with dyslexia. Scholarly articles were used for this research. The research followed a qualitative approach, and a survey design was used. The research aimed to investigate how accessible these technology tools are to students with Dyslexia, the impact of these technology tools on students with Dyslexia and to identify assistive technology tools available to support students with Dyslexia. Based on information gathered from previous studies, this research was able to identify assistive technology tools that can help students with dyslexia as all students should have the fundamental right to equitable education The literature review analyzes the assistive technologies available to allow students with dyslexia to thrive in an educational setting, the study tries to find the challenges in the field of assistive technology and tries to determine how it can be addressed and overcome. en_US
