Abstract: In recent days, individuals are becoming the prime target of cybercriminals as a current trade and especially women, are more vulnerable to cyber violence in Bangladesh. Women are the prime target of hackers on social media platforms. Sex traffickers are using social media platforms like Facebook or TikTok to lure girls and women into sex trade. To combat cyber violence against women, the Bangladesh government has enacted several legislations but none of these national cybercrime regulations is a comprehensive law to deal with various types of cyber violence against women. This paper intends to discover the shortcomings of the existing laws and design possible ways forwards to strengthen effective regulatory framework and protection mechanisms against cyber violence against women, in Bangladesh.
