Abstract: At the moment, numerous media outlets are employing news writing techniques based on the talking news model (talk journalists). Talking news is news that only enhances statements from an expert or official to be used as news that readers consume. Tribunpekanbaru.com is a large and influential media outlet in Riau Province that utilizes talking news in their reporting. As a matter of fact, the author is curious about how Tribunpekanbaru.com airs news in Pekanbaru using the talking news technique. In this case, an expert or official is the subject of the research, which corresponds to news from the online media Tribunpekanbaru.com. The consideration to choose Tribunpekanbaru.com for this research based on its background and a variety of other factors. The qualitative method is used in this research. The data collection technique was observed and documented, and the data was observed using the Critical Discourse Analysis Technique. As triangulation, the Critical Discourse Analysis Technique employs Teun Van Dijk's theory and Habermas's Public Sphere theory. According to the findings of this research, talking news reporting on Tribunpekanbaru.com encompasses thematic, schematic, semantic, syntactic, stylistic, rhetorical, social cognition, and social analysis. This is based on the results of the data examined using Teun Van Dijk's discourse structure on the online media product Tribunpekanbaru.com. Based on Habermas' public sphere theory, it can be concluded that only two of the six news stories feature public discussion dialogues written by Tribunpekanbaru.com journalist.
