Abstract: This study attempts to investigate the factors influencing the career choice of final year undergraduates of University of Kelaniya. Accordingly, study investigates the impact of parental influence and career aspirations on career choice of undergraduates. Survey data were collected from 97 final year undergraduates attached to the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies in University of Kelaniya using a self-administered questionnaire. Regression analysis was used to test the hypothesized model of the study. The study revealed that there is a positive impact of parental influence and career aspirations on career choice of undergraduates. It is important to choose the right career that is match with the personal interests, attitudes and own skills and abilities. Then it will aid to the self-development as well as the organizational development. So, when choosing the appropriate career, an undergraduate should concentrate on the factors that are influencing their choice
