dc.description.abstractFreight and people movement have been important factors for economic systems from ancient times to the modern globalized world. Utilizing available technology and resources initially with land animalsand wind for maritime transport network of transport emerged. Animal transport included the Horse, camel, donkey, yak ox, mule etc. in different countries during different historical periods after their domestication. Such animals served in war and freight transport with the advancement of civilization. Culture, religion, science and knowledge also were disseminated by these pack animals through time immemorial. Pack animals have been reared, used, bred, trained and exploited to do unnatural services for mankind since transportation conceptualized .The vessel of the mountains or ship of the desert whatever designated always were subject to domination and exploitation by human. Their suffering and pain have been neglected and denied. How such subjects were treated in history and ought to be treated is the current discussion of this paper.en_US
