Abstract: At many colleges and universities, the library is located at the heart of the campus. It serves as a powerful symbol of academic life and is often one of the largest facilities on campus. This paper presents a case study which aimed to explore and implement interactive and innovative library space at Nations Victory Campus, Negombo, Sri Lanka. Limited space capacity, lack of information resources and both space and resources did not used properly were most special issues that an identified before redesign and rebuild NVC Library and Information Resources Centre. Because of that issues, less number of users were main problem that was identified in this case study. First of all prepared project proposal for design and build NVCLIRC. This project proposal spited in two components. First components was build Physical arrangements, and as a second component Develop E-resources and printed collection. Then according to the first component of project NVC library was redesign and rebuild as NVCLIRC. After the redesign and rebuild the NVCLIRC has been increased number of library users and materials. And library services are expanded. Whole set up of Nations Victory Campus was changed after the new library implements. Library was became a one of main resource of income generating for the campus and marketing tool. According to second component of proposal, E- Library and E-collection development are currently in progress by using E- library software call “Grantha”. This study will support future decision-making by providing librarians and library planners with comprehensive information as to how, where and why new libraries being built, and how (and how much) these new Library space are being used as well as how conducting new library project according to project proposal.
