Abstract: “Library is a Growing Organism as according to Ranganathan. Present day society is categorized Information Society. Therefore, ICT is an important thing for all communities. The Knowledge is door of the Libraries in country. The main objective of thestudy is to examine the use of ICT for reader services in libraries. The study based on survey method. Questionnaires were used for data collection. Microsoft Excel was used analyzed the collected data. Under the survey research method, three Universities of Kelaniya, Sri Jayawardanapura and Open University were used as the sample. Comprising 300 students in universities. Result show that most of the students use ICT library services in universities. But libraries are not adequately using ICT for their reader services in universities. University libraries provide e database, e journals, e books for their readers as user services. University librarians should use more ICT techniques an application is providing their reader services. The time has come introduce more training and awareness programmes, Workshops and Seminars for using ICT in the use of reader services in university libraries in Sri Lanka.
