Abstract: The labour force participation refers to the number of people who are either employed or are actively looking for work under the above 10 years old. A measure of the active portion of an economy's labor force. The number of people who are no longer actively searching for work would not be included in the participation rate. During an economic recession many workers often get discouraged and stop looking for employment, as a result, the participation rate decreases. (Hauser, 1973) Economic & social factors, mortality, migration Fertility effect to this differentiation or reduction. This paper estimate to get good decisions in labour market related on balance with labour supply & demand. At Consider the labour force participation in Sri Lanka, can understand the different on a labour force participation according to different age level. Further this differentiation also differs on the gender. Therefore according to sex rate differ in an effective rate & ineffective rate. In this research main objective is identify the factors to effect of this differentiation. In this research sub objectives are identify the impact of Fertility to change of labour force participation, identify the effect of mortality rate to change of labour force, Identify the impact of migration to change the labour force & identify the economic & social factors to change of the labour force participation.
