dc.description.abstract The reaction of aqueous metal ions with iron bearing minerals is a complex process that may involve sorption, oxidation-reduction reactions, precipitation and recrystallization. Ilmenite (FeTiO3) is the most abundant titanium bearing mineral that plays a significant role in the geochemical process at the mineral-water interface. In ilmenite, iron oxide and titanium dioxide are held in spinel form. en_US
