Item FACTORS AFFECTING JOB SATISFACTION OF CLASS III OFFICERS OF SRI LANKA ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE.(2016) Jayasena, S.D.N.S.This Research was conducted to identify the factors affecting Job Satisfaction of Grade III officers of Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS), to identify the level of satisfaction and suggest methods to increase their Job Satisfaction. Primary Data were gathered by a Questionnaire Survey and Structured interviews. The data were summarized using descriptive statistics and through correlation and regression analysis the factors affecting Job Satisfaction of Grade III officers of SLAS were identified. It was found that Demographic Variables and Pay, Promotion, Supervision, Fringe Benefits and Contingent Rewards are the determinants of Job Satisfaction of the target population. Further it was suggested that increasing the Base Pay, introducing a performance based promotion scheme, fair distribution of training opportunities and granting transport facilities will increase the level of Job Satisfaction.Item IMPACT OF DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLES ON PERCEIVED VALUE OF NON FINANCIAL MOTIVATORS WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SRI LANKA TELECOM HEADQUARTERS(2015) Rajapaksha, R.M.S.N.Even though today"s organizalions are using several techniques and strategies to achieve organizational goals through people. rewards are considered as most important element in motivating and satisfying employees to achieve the high level of performance. Non-financial rewards can have an even more substantial impact on employee satisfaction and motivation than traditional financial rewards. This study attempt to examine the impact of demographic variables of cmployecs on nonfinancial motivalors/rewards with special reference to Sri Lanka Telecom Headquarters. A cross-sectional sample survey was done using a sample of 365 employees al SLT headquarters. Findings of the study revealed that whal are Ihe mosl important rewards/motivators which can be stimulated motivation level and satisfaction of SLT employees' at headquarters. In addition. the study demonstrated reward preferences variance between certain demographics groups namely age. gender and career stage within the Sri Lanka headquarters. The study contribuled to the body of existing knowledge on employees' mOlivation and ils relationship with non-financial rewards within the Sri Lanka Telecom. An understanding of these perceptions would enhance knowledge when developing effective reward system in Sri Lanka Telecom. Sri Lanka Telecom management can structure reward system more effectively according to these findings without focusing primarily on money.
