    A study on the use of technology in special libraries in Sri Lanka. (With special reference to Science and Technology libraries)

    The aim of this study is to analyze the use of technology in Science and Technology related libraries in Sri Lanka. A questionnaire was used to collect data and interviews were held with librarians of selected special libraries. 20 libraries in the field of Science and Technology in Sri Lanka were selected, and answers were obtained from 15 librarians. The use of technology in Science and Technology libraries is at satisfactory level and the CDS/ ISIS is the popluar software used in the automation of libraries. The tools used for Information Technology are also identified. The issues and solutions in using Information Technology are also discussed and recommendations are provided.
