However, in certain instances the library may fail to serve its primary purpose due to the impotence of providing access to resources of information and services to meet the demand of individuals. Therefore, information exchange and networking has become an essential factor in library services. The main objective of this study is to identify the current situation of library co-operation and resource sharing in Sri Lanka. In addition, it highlights the importance of library collaboration and examines the various means of collaboration between libraries and information centers implemented in Sri Lanka. A review was done based on the research publication like articles and dissertation published in the area of library cooperation in Sri Lanka.
