Abstract
Industry 4.0, marked by the integration of advanced digital technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), big data analytics, and cloud computing, is revolutionizing industries across the globe. While the adoption of these technologies has been widely explored in manufacturing, their implementation within the service sector, particularly in developing countries like Sri Lanka, remains underexplored. This research investigates the key Industry 4.0-related factors that influence the performance of Sri Lanka's service sector and examines the moderating effects of organizational culture and regulatory support. Using a quantitative research method approach, data was collected from service sector professionals through surveys. The study aims to identify critical enablers and barriers to the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies, highlight their potential impact on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, and offer recommendations for fostering a digital transformation in Sri Lanka's service industries. The findings aim to guide policymakers and industry leaders in making informed decisions about leveraging Industry 4.0 for service sector excellence.
