Interviews and observation were used as the data collecting techniques. The research field is No 167, Uswetakeiyawa GS division in Gampaha district. 35 fishery families were taken as the sample out of all 300 fishery families in that village. The fishermen have to face many difficulties like inability to sell their production, living in a high security zone, having no permission to fish at early hours.
