Abstract

This study aimed to assess the impact of safety climate on employee engagement. This study is carried out as quantitative explanatory research work. Further, this is cross-sectional research, and a standard questionnaire was used to collect primary data. Questionnaires were distributed to a sample of 181 operational-level employees in the selected organization in the apparel sector and convenience sampling was employed in selecting the sample. Then the strength of association was measured through correlation statistics derived from Pearson correlation analysis and the results illustrate a strong positive relationship between the safety climate and employee engagement. Moreover, the regression analysis results reveal that there is a significant positive impact of safety climate on employee engagement. The present study would provide valuable insights illustrating how practitioners can improve employee work engagement through provide them with a safe work climate within the organization.
